Regeneration
New Beginnings

For men who struggle with sexual temptations, such as persistent lustful thoughts, pornography or other sexual temptations, Regeneration offers New Beginnings.

In a recent Promise Keepers survey, 70% of the men surveyed indicated that sexual sin is their biggest challenge. Some of these men are church leaders or lay-leaders, while others are so overwhelmed by guilt and shame that they steer clear from regular church involvement as well as the intimate, godly fellowship that comes with it.

New Beginnings provides a supportive group environment in which men learn to apply biblical tools (e.g. involvement in a local church, Scripture memory, prayer, confession, accountability, etc.) to overcome habitual sexual sins, to improve their relationship with Jesus Christ, and to develop healthier relationships with others.

The New Beginnings program also includes the use of specialized audio and video resources created by professional Christian counselors. These resources help individuals apply Biblical truths with the use of workbooks, worksheets and exercises. Individuals will be helped through the process of:
  • Taking a courageous look beneath the surface, (Matthew 23:27).
  • Dealing with any unresolved past or present emotional issues and bringing God's truth to the innermost being (Psalm 51:6). (We always encourage professional counseling for the process of dealing with any difficult issues and additional guidance.)
  • Turning our will and lives over to the care of God and asking Him for change.
  • Making amends where needed.
  • Facing the realities of life with courage.
  • Working through problems.
  • Identifying legitimate needs, taking those needs to God and pursuing healthy, God-given solutions.
  • Developing awareness to daily monitor our lives and promptly admit error.
  • Walking by the power of the Holy Spirit.
  • And much more.

This program also includes many proven and practical techniques for real change. Since 1979, we have seen hundreds of people find hope, healing and freedom. If you are struggling—discover the true freedom, peace and joy there is in Christ by starting to apply the depth of Biblical truth today (Proverbs 18:1).
