It’s time to move beyond this shame-filled cycle that has held you back for months and years.
Does any of this sound familiar to you?
If it does, you’re in the right place. And you’re not alone.
And would help be helpful anyway?
You’ve got some pretty big doubts about that, right?
“I’ve failed so many times before. God is deeply disappointed in me – I know it. Is it even worth trying to change, or am I just setting myself up for failure?”
You’ve tried Bible studies, prayer, podcasts, self-help books, blogs…
You’ve even tried turning off the WiFi on your phone and laptop and trying to push through on willpower alone…
None of it has worked.
You watch yourself fall back into the very behaviors you despise every single time, no matter what you do differently.
But here’s what you need to know: the reason why none of those solutions have worked is because they’ve tried to address your behavior with generalized strategies and suggestions – instead of supporting you in the core areas where healing and wholeness are needed, and giving you the tools to implement based on your unique journey.
A one-size-fits-all approach will not address your deeply personal and unique triggers.
Pure willpower won’t be a solution either – at least not a longstanding one.
The solutions you’ve tried haven’t worked because they’re only designed to address surface problems, instead of supporting you on your own unique journey of healing.
“This is such a personal issue, I don’t know how to talk about it or even ask for help. There’s such a taboo around these topics and judgment is so harsh. I want help, but I’m scared my struggles will become public.”
You’ve seen other women be severely judged for porn, masturbation, casual hookups, and other unwanted sexual behaviors before.
You’ve watched them be ostracized and shamed…instead of being supported and helped.
So it’s understandable that you’d be reluctant to search for help.
The fear of your struggles becoming public and the deepening shame of that would be crippling to you.
But there are a couple of things to remember here:
Isolation is always one of the key tools the enemy uses to cut us off from God and from the healing we sorely need.
We promise: that you are not the only woman who has struggled with these behaviors. Other women have overcome this isolation, received help and healing, and are now more free than they ever thought they’d be.
This reality is available to you too – but the first step is the search and the request for help.
Help does not have to be public at all.
We’ve supported hundreds of women on their journeys of healing, and at no point were they required to publicly share or confess their struggles.
True, it has helped them to be among other women who are also wrestling with similar issues, and some women have been brave enough to share in those environments, but we believe that kind of sharing should never be mandatory.
“If I just try harder, maybe I can fix this. Maybe it’s not such a big deal, I mean I hate when I do it but maybe it’s just a part of life that I’ll have to figure out how to handle. Maybe this is just my burden to bear.”
Can we gently call you out on this?
It is absolutely not your job to clean yourself up, struggle by yourself, or “fix” yourself. Your efforts are important, absolutely, but they aren’t the solution to your healing or wholeness.
Don’t fall into the same trap that the Israelites fell into – thinking actions and efforts can fix and resolve core issues that they should’ve been taking to God.
We know that God instituted the Law to make that very point to them: their efforts would always fall short because we were never meant to be our own source.
We were never meant to live from our own efforts and independent of God, nothing else can reconcile us to Him.
So no. This isn’t something you can fix if you just try harder.
And it is a big deal because this isn’t the woman you want to be – and we’re here to affirm that it isn’t who God designed you to be either.
You don’t have to settle for porn, masturbation, casual hook ups, or any other unwanted sexual behavior being your burden or struggle for the rest of your life.
Oasis was a place where I could share about my struggle with pornography without feeling judged, and actually have others understand and care. It was a great way to connect with someone who could be a friend and cheerleader for me during my journey to freedom.
Oasis was the program I needed when I was close to giving up on finding help. I’ve worked with other coaches and groups before but never felt comfortable sharing my unwanted sexual behaviors. Finding Oasis gave me the courage and space to be open about my struggles with a group of women who understood. For me that was huge.
I wish that I had found Oasis sooner. It was so encouraging and gave me hope that I can make progress toward freedom. We as women need more programs like this!!
You were able to recognize your patterns? When you’re tempted, when you’re most vulnerable, what do you need in the moments when you’re feeling desire? Not only could you recognize those patterns, but what if you had different ways of bringing those patterns into the light, sharing them with God, and leaning on The Holy Spirit to help you through those moments?
You were no longer plagued by guilt and shame? Feeling like you’re carrying around this giant condemning secret that makes you completely unworthy of truly being called a daughter of Christ – much more feeling and receiving His love for you?
What if every moment of temptation saw you receiving God’s care and cherishing, inviting Him in, and trusting Him for your help and support? Strengthening your relationship with Him and feeling closer to Him, even when you mess up, fall into past patterns, and make mistakes?
Have you regained your confidence sense of self-worth and self-respect? Have you started to see and affirm your identity in Christ? And what if you started to feel like porn, masturbation, casual hookups, and other behaviors no longer owned you? What if you saw a light at the end of this tunnel of struggle because no matter how much you fell, you were able to receive God’s forgiveness and keep moving forward?
We’ve coached hundreds of women who just can’t figure out why they’re stuck in these patterns.
Isn’t this a ‘guy’ thing? No, it’s not. Daughters of Christ all around the world wrestle with these desires.
And it stands to reason that if God gave us sexuality as a holy expression, then the enemy would find ways to twist it and trap us in patterns that drive us away from God.
But we’re here to help reclaim your sexuality and embody God’s holy intention for it – we’re here to help you chart a path to wholeness and healing, embracing God’s forgiveness and your belovedness as His daughter while growing in intimacy with Him.
We’re not here to preach at you.
Neither are we here to condemn you.
But we want to show you what’s possible and help you chart a path to the reality you’re probably even afraid to want because it seems so far out of reach.
We’re dedicated to helping any woman who wants this support to get on this journey.
